HIRED!
anyhoo... the next day i went back to makati to look for jobs in other call centers. fortunately, my friend mya came with me.
9AM
the first one that i went to the usual interview and exam (yada yada yada). they said that my next interview would be on monday, november 21 (4 more days)...
11AM
since i didnt like waiting, me and mya walked until we reached the corner of ayala and gil puyat. mya told me to apply there and said that it's also a nice call center to work in. i walked in, and the guard told me to fill up the online application form at a certain station. after filling up the application form, i was instructed to use the phone beside me to have my initial interview. the usual initial interview came through and this time i didnt screw up. the interviewer asked me if i was doing anything that afternoon so she could schedule my exam.
after me and mya had lunch, she had to go home since she hasn't slept yet. i thanked her for her help and she left me all alone again.
2PM
i entered the building again and went in to take the exam. DAMN... it wasnt even an exam. it was a multiple choice exam which covered US geography, spelling, grammar and reading comprehension. there was even a typing test, the passing was 30 WPM. LOLZ... they call that a exam!?!? after the exam the proctor(Andrea) asked me a couple of questions, she asked when do i plan to start on working. i looked at my watch and told her, "12midnight... tonight?". she laughed and told me that my final interview would be 4PM that same day.
4PM
i waited for my final interviewer(Nice) at the lobby of the building. i noticed that the rooms where named after hardwood trees (yakal, narra, etc.) also like the rooms from my high school. the usual interview questions were asked but this time i answered them well. hahaha... i should know the right answers because i screwed up the last time. where do you see yourself 5 years from now? do you plan to go back to school? when can you start? she also made me take a call simulation(which i failed). before we ended our interview, she said that the company has to call my personal references in my resume before i would get a call from them for my job signing. right after the interview, i lit a cigarette while dialing the numbers of my references in my resume. i told them that the company was gonna call them and i asked them to make me sound hardworking.
5pm
the company called and asked if i was still in the area for my job signing at 6pm.
6pm
i was waiting in the lobby for the third time that day for my job signing. talk about instant hire. anyway, i was really excited, but my excitement became shyness when i saw who was gonna entertain me about the job. her name is candice and she was about 5'9 and she looked like barbie almalbis (read: very very cute). anyway, the my starting salary was 18500 per month. blah blah blah... i signed the contract.. blah blah blah... before leaving the room, she said, "you know, karl, you remind me of my friend. but he doesnt work here anymore." and the only thing that i said was "you remind me of barbie almalbis." (SH!T... my brain stopped working when she said that to me...) she said "i'll take that as a compliment." (i was speechless after that.)
